Photo Beacon Magazine

Are you curious about what photography was like at the turn of the 20th century? Or are you looking for practical guides and ideas on how to take your own photography back to a more tried and true, classic form? Please, look no further than the Photo Beacon magazine, an American photography magazine from the early days of photography.

Photo Beacon magazine went through several changes, starting in 1885 as The Photographic Beacon, changing to simply The Beacon, only then to go back to Photo Beacon a few short years later. Through a series of mergers over the years, Photo Beacon magazine, along with several other magazines that it merged with over the years, would eventually become Popular Photography, one of the longest running magazine series in the world.
