Prints By Gaslight - Advertising in the 20th century

The following is a Kodak ad that circulated in the early 1900s for Velox photo paper. The Velox brand appears to have been discontinued around the 1960s, but ads for it such as the one below are quite common in publications from the first half of the century. In this original context, gaslighting doesn't seem to be nearly as negative as it is today.
